FAQ

Appointments

  1. I need to be seen right away. Can I get a same day or next day appointment? Yes, same day and next day appointments are possible, but will depend on my availability.

  2. Work is crazy right now. Can I get a weekend appointment? Sure! I will work with you when you are available

Insurance

  1. Do you take insurance? The only insurance I file is Medicare. All other providers are out-of-network.

  2. Will my insurance still pay for physical therapy with you? Possibly. You can use my invoices to submit to your insurance company for out of network reimbursement. Check your plan.

  3. Why do you take Medicare but no other insurers? The short answer is that Medicare does not allow PTs to perform physical therapy on their members without the PT being an approved Medicare provider who accepts payments from Medicare. Medicare does not allow patients who have Medicare to pay cash for physical therapy services that are covered under Medicare Part B. Other insurance providers do not have this restriction and allow patients to pay out-of-pocket for physical therapy.

Treatment

  1. What is “maintenance therapy”? Do I qualify for that? Maintenance therapy is therapy services that are necessary to maintain a patient’s current condition or to prevent or slow a patient’s further decline. Patients are not required to have a chronic condition such as Parkinson’s to qualify for maintenance therapy coverage. The main issue for coverage is whether the patient needs professional services that cannot be provided by a caregiver, spouse, or other non-medical personnel to maintain function or to prevent or slow functional decline.  For more information, please click here.
